Dear Sir/Madam,
It is once again open season on the endangered grizzly bears of British Columbia .
Three years ago, the threat of a European tourism boycott convinced your government to impose a moratorium on trophy hunting of grizzlies in the province.
The new government has overturned this moratorium, ignoring the verdict of international scientists that hunting, combined with ongoing habitat loss from logging, could push BC's grizzlies to the edge of extinction.
The EU, at least, has responded to the scientific verdict by banning the importation of trophy parts from grizzlies .
By this way I ask you to put an end to this trophy hunting.
As long this hunting is not banned I will spend no tourist dollars in BC .
I hope you will take my urge into consideration,
Sincerely,
