I was surprised to learn Unilever still conducts old-fashioned
animal experiments to analyze wood-protection chemicals for its subsidiary.
Numerous cost-effective and expedient non-animal systems are now available. Options range from cell and tissue cultures, "structure-activity relationship" models, and genetic/protein analysis... to
human skin equivalents such as Corrositex, Epipack Test, 3T3 Neutral Red Uptake Phototoxicity Test, EpiDerm, etc.
I won't buy any of your products in the future as long as you kill animals or help other establishments which are testing on animals.
I will inform my family, friends and contacts to do the same.
